Springfield, VA (March 6, 2008):
The Sixth Annual SOWF Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by Waterford Receptions, LLC and Intelligent Evolution, Inc., is scheduled for June 12, 2008 at the Courses at Andrews Air Force Base, with a tee time of 2:00 p.m.
“The event attracts 100-plus golfers, who not only enjoy a day of camaraderie on the links, but also support the efforts of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation to ensure a college education for children who have lost a parent in an operational mission or training accident,” says Keith Clark, president and CEO, Waterford Receptions. “We are proud to support such a noble cause, especially in these troubled times.” The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF), for more than 28 years, has provided full college scholarship grants, not loans, along with financial aid and educational counseling to surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident. SOWF (www.specialops.org) is rated a four-star charity, the highest rating for financial efficiency given by Charity Navigator, the nation's leading charity watchdog group.
